Kathy's story
Kathy is left with 4 children in their early 20's after her husband of 30 years up and left one day because "he needed more space." No, he didn't have a girl friend but just left to be on his own.

Within a year, he bought a home for himself but then stopped sending her the child support and alimony payments causing Kathy to return to the court for it to re-enforce these payments.

Kathy is a good example of a wife who stayed at home raising the kids but in her case also managed the family finances so there were few surprises there. What she had to do to have enough money to pay the bills, was go into the work place looking for a job. Because she had never developed any commercial skills there were few jobs she could qualify for but did find one as an administrative assistant to the principal of a parochial school making a very meagre salary.

Michelle
